“This was my first time going to Superior Auto Service in Rockville, MD and taking my SUV with almost 200,000 miles. I had the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) replaced and reprogrammed. “Brought my car in for a MD inspection today and was very impressed. First, I want to say that the level of communication throughout the process was wonderful. I requested an appointment online and the very next morning Rob contacted me right away. I also dealt with an unforeseen circumstance which caused me to have to reschedule my appointment at the last minute and they were very flexible through that. They have the ability to communicate via call, text, or email which is very convenient. The service was above average as well. I dropped my car off at 7 and they had my car ready well before noon. “I was about an hour and a half from home and an hour and a half from my destination when my Jeep started to overheat. A quick search showed that Superior Auto Service was only 10 minutes away, and I pulled in just as they were unlocking the door. The owner and manager were both on vacation, so head mechanic J.J. took care of me. They quickly diagnosed the problem and found a parts supplier who could deliver the part the same day. Once the part showed up, it was installed, tested, and I was on my way. J.J. was very friendly and explained the problem and how it would be fixed and tested. While I was waiting, I saw J.J. interacting with several other customers, and everyone was treated with kindness and respect. When a customer came in who spoke limited English, J.J. brought Moses in from the service bay and had him speak to the customer in Spanish. Overall experience was outstanding, and if I lived in that area, they would be my regular service professionals.”

“While moving our son from Georgia to Chevy Chase, our 1996 Ford F150 stalled out several times, including once on I-495 that led to a harrowing 15 minutes of struggling to restart it. We needed to get the truck fixed before starting the long trip back home. After searching on-line and looking over reviews, we decided to contact Superior Auto Service. On Monday at 7:00 AM, I called and spoke with Bob. He mentioned that his schedule for the day was booked and he was shorthanded due to summer vacations. Despite this, he said that he would look at it “as a courtesy to help a visitor from out of town.”
I got the truck there around 7:30 AM. Bob called me a few times with updates during the day. He mentioned that he would be working late on it. At 6:00 PM, I went to the shop. Bob was still there doing some diagnostics on the truck. He spent the next hour finishing his tests, carefully explaining the various problems that he fixed, and describing the other, less urgent repairs that needed to be addressed once we got home.
The cost of the repair work was very reasonable. We were able to head home the next morning. The truck ran smoothly all the way back to Georgia. Bob even called me to make sure that we made it home safely! I was very impressed with the knowledge, care, and concern that Bob showed. That level of service was truly outstanding. We cannot thank Bob and his staff enough.

“I took my car here for a second opinion after getting hit with a huge repair estimate that didn't seem to make sense. Great customer service right off the bat, Rob greeted me by name when I came in. The owner (Bob) drove the car with me to experience the problem and then took a closer look. They prioritized what needed to be repaired now and what could be put off, which was really helpful. Very friendly and willing to patiently explain how and why things needed to be repaired so that I could understand. Took me back to look at things on the car while it was on the lift and showed me exactly what was going on, plus the old parts after they took them off. Ultimately they found that the problem was due to my previous mechanic who had done shoddy repair work, so I still have to go back to that place and see if I can get some compensation. But I will definitely be taking my car here going forward. Very pleased with the experience and confident in working with them going forward, they seem completely honest to me which is refreshing since I have never really found a mechanic that I could trust before.”

“I had purchased a new cadillac STS in 2006 and had it completely loaded. I fgured the car should last me through retirement. At around 100000 miles there were things that had to be done and the cost form the dealer was outrageous. I did not want just anyyone touching my car. Thankfully I ran across an ad and review for Superior auto and they specialized in cadillacs as well as other high end cars. Took the car in and went through the check list with Bob. I ended up getting twice as many things done to the car for less than the dealer would charge. My car rode like it had just come off the showroom. Had a few intemittents and they stuck with it. Unfortunately I had a minor accident and insurance totaled the car but when the warrant is up on my new car I will bring it to Superior. The one thing I did not mention, They do not BS about the pproblem nor do they overcharge. I am used to troubleshooting problems and I know when I am being Fooled. Bob's team had my total confidence during the first meeting. Pride in work is not dead you just have to know where to find it...Superior Auto Service.”
“Too often people neglect to point out a job well done, so I INSIST on making sure the folks out there know how incredible the customer service is at Superior Auto Service. I'd previously taken my car to a large chain auto body shop only to have more problems surface as soon as I got my car home. Shame on me for not taking it back immediately, but I wasn't ready to fight that fight at the time. Recently my "check engine" light reminded me that isn't one of those fights I actually get to choose. A quick online search, a quick phone call, an appointment first thing the following morning (based on my schedule), a warm and intellectual greeting from Rob at Superior Auto Service, a ride to the metro, a well-informed estimate early in the day, a ride from the metro, a completely clean and happy and healthy car upon my return. I was also advised about issues I might encounter in the near and not-so-near future including items that are more critical than others to fix. They have been super nice and checked my car out and let me know what had to be fixed.
Than I had the choice which of the services are immediate and had to be fixed first.
And which ones I could come back for later.
That way it was easier on the wallet.
There was absolutely no pressure from them to fix all of it at the same time.
I also didn't get the feeling that they tried to up sell and fix more than necessary.
Seems to be the case at many other places.
They even drove me to work when I needed to drop my car off.
Mind you I only work 5 min driving distance away.
So don't count on it! Haha
Also to my surprise-above and beyond - they gave me my car back washed and vacuumed!!!

They help me keep the "Battlestar" running safely and well. And likely one of the most honest shops I've known in my life of driving. In my most recent visit I had a pinion seal leak. Rob at the shop did the research and found it would be covered under my warranty and recommended I visit my dealer so I didn't have to pay hundreds to have them fix it. That in and of itself will keep me coming back here.
On top of that they have handled custom installs on springs, rims, lowering kits, etc etc.

“This place is fantastic.
I use Rob and the Superior shop for any repairs that I can't do myself. The first time I went there I had requested a transmission flush. They took a sample and told me to save my money because my fluid was fine. Most shops would have taken the money whether I needed the service or not. They had me as a customer from that point on.
They have a great service records system. I love how they show you the fluid samples that are taken from your car. They have always been very accommodating of my schedule. They are very up front about what repairs need to be now, and which ones can safely wait. They wash the car with any major repair and they even have a reward point system which can save you money on repairs.
I could keep going, but it will suffice to say that after trying many different mechanics in this area, Superior is now the only mechanic I will use. Best mechanic in the area.”

They give you recommendations, what needs to be done now and what can wait. If something is covered under your manufacturer warranty they'll let you know.
